Mike has lived in the New Tecumseth area for close to 15 years. As the son of a social worker and public-school teacher, he was raised to believe that a life dedicated to the well-being and growth of people means a life dedicated to public service.

He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, an Ivy League university, where he excelled as a student-athlete to become an Academic All-American.

Mike’s time in the United States has given him a deep understanding of the American political climate. His education has focused on the intersection of government, economics, and environmental studies, with a special interest in public policy and economics, climate change mitigation, and sustainable agriculture.

Like Mark Carney, Mike believes that the strongest economy reflects true Canadian values by making ethical investments in people, by minimizing environmental harm, and by being ever mindful of our social responsibilities.

Mike believes that responsible government should be responsive government, and that public service means meeting people at the crossroads of their dreams and their needs.

He believes that we can work together to make New Tecumseth-Gwillimbury and Canada more economically sustainable, more independent, more climate change resilient, and more affordable.
